Surpasses is
first integrated and interactive layers system for Lightwave.
Surpasses is NOT compositing tool only. It can handle a wide
range of tasks and preparing passes for composition is just
one of them.
With Surpasses You can have multiple scene "looks"
within single file. You can think of passes as scene "morphs".
Surpasses support wide range of elements that can be modified
on a per pass basis. That includes Objects, Lights, Cameras
and their properties (Item Color, Visibility, etc.), almost
40 Scene Properties (Antialiasing Level, Raytracing Options
etc.), Render Channels (Diffuse Shading, Shadow, Reflection,
etc.) and Plugins (plugins can be enabled/disabled).
Each pass can be any combination of the above listed elements.
